Solitude Observed

We were driving around a residential neighborhood in Manchester, and there was a boy, somewhere around six years old, walking alone, apparently on his way to a playground. In wonderfully insightful syntax, Daniel asked a very compassionate question about the child:

"Daddy, why was that boy with nobody?"
