Looking After Daddy

Ian proposed something unprecedented this evening, in the kitchen:

"Daddy, you and I should have a workout."

I was very interested in what he meant by this, since I had never heard him use the word "workout" before, as far as I could remember. So I asked, and Ian clarified:

"You and me need to get less fat."

I'm still a bit puzzled as to what the lad was trying to get across...
