Adapting Life Plans to Last Tuesday's Frozen Yogurt Catastrophe
Bad news - our favorite local little family-owned frozen yogurt store closed in the last month or two. Daniel noticed this because it was next door to Five Guys, and we were there recently for the lads' absolute banquet of choice. While we were getting burgers, Daniel wanted to go next door for frozen yogurt for dessert, but "next door" was closed up.
This development sent him into high whine-mode, and he was all the more indignant when I said that no, we couldn't head over to Wendy's for flurries to compensate, since we were already maxing out on unhealthy food already at Five Guys. That's when Daniel came to the conclusion that he won't be able to enjoy frozen yogurt at all for about eight years, and he'll have to make a big life-change to do so. He said something like:
"I guess I won't have frozen yogurt again until I'm 18 and I get to move out of the house."
Some things are worth the move, and of course, especially since no dessert was forthcoming the other night.
