True Sportsmanship Means Knowing What You Like

Daniel is quite the sportsman, so I was surprised when he declined to play a wacky game of kiddie-pool kickball at summer camp.  This was a game that everyone played in bathing suits, with each of the bases of the kickball diamond being a kiddie swimming pool, where the players could stay cool between plays; needless to say, it added to the excitement and complication of the game to have all that splashing and sliding into plastic-kiddie-pool-second-base.  It looked like fun, so I asked Daniel why he didn't play it:

"Because I don't like softball-related games, except for baseball."
