In the car on the way home on Sunday, Madeleine came up with a spectacular monetary scheme, and I seconded the motion, but Ian had the good sense to put the kabosh on the whole project before we could get it off the ground:

Madeleine:  Imagine if you could pull quarters out of thin air.

Me:  That would be great!

Ian: Yeah, but then they'd lose their value.
