Two Lads' Accounts from the Way-Back Machine
A few years ago, I lent a technical book to a colleague. She hasn't given it back to me yet, but that doesn't matter - she's completely guileless, and she also sits right next to me. But the one thing I was missing, with the book on loan, was a few notes I had written in the inside back-cover, from things that Ian and Daniel said a few years ago, right before I gave the book to her.
Last night, I slipped by her desk and temporarily "unborrowed" the book from her, long enough to transcribe the notes from the boys' memorable sayings-and-doings-of-yesteryear, then I put the book back in on her shelf where it was before. I don't really care about the programming language covered by that book any more; all I care about is the truly enduring inscriptions from the inside cover.
So here they are:
"When I'm growned up, I will be just like you. I will be a Daddy too."

Daniel: I'm not gonna be a boy any more.
Me: You're not? What're you gonna be?
Daniel: Uhh... Sam. Once I was Greg downstairs.

Daniel: I like your friend, Phoebe.
Ian: I think I'm gonna marry her. She can't have two husbands!
