Market Value Assessments on a Holiday Morning
This morning, Daniel was lying in bed, very scrupulously waiting until exactly 10:00 to get up - I don't know whether that was Amy's idea or his own... Since it's the 4th of July, of course there was no hurry to get off to Boys-and-Girls-Club Day Camp, or anywhere else. I had been sleeping on the floor of his room, and I was also in lounging-around-on-a-holiday mode. Then Daniel asked me an important question.
"Daddy, how many pieces of gold does it cost to buy a castle?"
I had to take a guess; my guess was a thousand.
Then he asked me a far less true-to-life economic question:
"How much does a cat cost?"
I'm not much of a cat-purchaser, but I guessed a hundred dollars.
