Scurrilous Accusations

Daniel speaks with forked tongue, according to Ian.  Reportedly, Daniel went back on some deal he had made with Ian tonight - I think it was about taking turns playing video games.  I expressed some feigned surprise that Daniel had broken his promise, and Ian, taking me at face value, broke the news to me that Daniel wasn't terribly reliable, and that he wasn't alone in this vice:

"Dad, he doesn't stick to a lot of things - and same thing for Mom."

Of course, Mommy's problem is that she "promises" things to the children and then finds that she couldn't keep up with the time commitment.  But somehow she got lumped in with Daniel, like any ordinary, commonplace promise-breaker..
