As Usual, the French got it wrong - and so did I...

Recently I bought some frozen green beans of the "French cut" variety,  where they're already diced into slivers.  I actually thought that their slenderness would make them less daunting for the young'uns. Of course, I turned out to be wrong.

Tonight at supper:

Daniel:  Do we have any beans that aren't cut up??

Me:  No - that's just the French style.

Daniel:  Well, I'll only eat  them if they're sticks.
