No Idea How Wonderful It Truly Was

We are often our own worst critic, failing to appreciate the delightfulness of our own work.  The other night, Ian was reflecting on a comic book that he composed a few years ago.  I think some real book reminded him of it, and that, in all likeliness, the published work in question is probably truly bad.  But Ian's work was great, like the many sheets of ink-rendered drawings and captions that he puts together and collects in his bedroom.  This is how he described this early opus, unjustly and yet with a wonderful critic's flare:

"It was horrible, it was misspelled, at least two of the words were backwards, and also it had a really bad plot."
