Thanksgiving Comes Early, In Gentle Crystals
This past weekend, southern New Hampshire was blessed with snow. I sometimes neglect the proper acts of piety when that beautiful white goodness issues forth from the bountiful skies, but the children are far more devout on these occasions. In the car, Ian thanked God out loud, quite sincerely. Madeleine had neglected a proper show of gratitude, but quickly followed Ian's excellent example, once it was provided.
And Daniel was the first one out of bed on Sunday morning, no doubt getting a head start on church. Amy managed to figure out the excellent news when she heard random scraping sounds coming from the driveway, not long after 7:00 a.m., as Daniel sledded down the driveway along a buoyant one-inch layer of snow.
