When in Rome, Don't Do as the Romans Don't Do
Today, the afternoon was drizzly and coldish, appropriate to a mid-October day in New England, and Daniel was about to go out on the baseball diamond. In spite of the unpleasant weather, he decided not to wear a jacket over his uniform, and he explained his rationale in terms of the larger culture of baseball:
"I'm not gonna do my jacket because that's what baseball players don't do."
