The Inevitable Father-and-Son Talk About the Moss

The other night, Daniel asked me, "Daddy, is there really any such thing as moss?"  I confirmed that the rumors are true.

Apparently the way that Daniel became aware of this exotic life form was from playing Mine Craft.  This is a game where children learn skill from real life - how to build things, grow things, shear sheep, and, of course, fight off Endermen and Creepers.  Apparently moss is one of the props, and it was very natural for him to seek to determine whether they're from the fiction or virtual-non-fiction artifacts of his video game world.
