Attention to Detail, for Daddy

Ian splits his Reeces' Peanut Butter Cups with me, and he chooses this candy because he knows it's my favorite.  Tonight he brought back some root beer from Five Guys and made a point of giving it to me.  He goes out of his way to get me little desserty things, and makes sure that I eat them.  He clips my toenails and my fingernails, quite without any prompting, and if he doesn't have clipper, he'll do his best with his own trusty nails, putting the "manual" in manicure. He tries to get me to watch King of the Hill, since it's the only show I admit to liking.

Turgenev was onto something.  There really are time when the sons become fathers, and vice versa.  And it's always very moving for me.
