Seeing The Fly's Side of the Situation

In the grocery store today, Daniel had an outburst of empathy as we passed the special summer/picnic/outdoors goods section in the front of the store:

Oh, that's too bad that they make a fly swatter."

Me:  I asked him what he meant.  He clarified:  "Killing bugs."
