Gold Prize for Gumnastics

Yesterday, at the grocery store, Daniel was agitating for me to give him two quarters so he could buy two big gumballs.  I was reluctant, but Ian put me at ease:

"Daniel's the best one of us at having gum."

I was wondering what made for this mark of distinction.  

Answer:

1.  He deals best with the dyes.  Amy believes, perhaps with some justification, that the crazy "numbered" dyes in gum and candy, send Ian into behavioral orbit, involving a bit of a rampage of wacky hyperactivity.

2.  He doesn't swallow it.  I think Madeleine might be the anti-model in this area of gum skills, but I'm not sure.
