Peering Beyond Babysitter Friday

Amy and I had a real date last night - the third or fourth in many years, but already the second in one month, now that we've found a really nice babysitter who can watch the young'uns on a Friday night.  Madeleine says she's "the best babysitter ever," and I was wondering whether Daniel had enjoyed her stay as much.   But it turned out that the entire temporal world, including the Best Babysitter Ever, was far beyond Daniel's contemplation Friday night, for his mind was on the far better dreams of Saturday:

Me:: Did you have a nice time last night?

Daniel:  Well, I was waiting for today?

Me: Why were you waiting for today?

Daniel:  Because Mommy said she might get me a Spider Man game on the Kindle.
