A Conventional Love For Small Furry Crreatures

Daniel believes that the two cutest creatures on earth are gerbils and mice, and he's not sure which one is cuter.  He was sharing these thoughts with me last night, and he said it's too bad that mice carry diseases.  He also expressed an interest in harmless traps, and when I told him that they exist, he was very happy to hear that.

I agree with him that mice are very sweet, and greatly underappreciated.  I told him that our house is one of the first ones I've ever lived in that didn't have mice.  And he had a thought that had never occurred to me before:

"I wish we had a mice problem."

I think Mommy must feel the same way.
