Ian Stumps, Again

Tonight, Ian posed an interesting question:

"Dad, if a helicopter were upside down, would it fly down instead of up?"

I must say, I really don't know the answer to that question.  It's very hard to imagine a helicopter being supported from below by its blades, but who know...  In any case, more significant than the answer itself is the question: this kind of query simply never would have occurred to me.
