Compensating for Environmental Limitations
The other morning, Ian was getting ready for school. I told him his bus would be arriving very soon. He asked what time it was, and I told him, "The clock in Mommy's room says 8:25."
Ian responded, "That means it's 8:21."
Immediately, Ian put things into their proper terms, based on his crisp knowledge of the delta between house-time and real-time.
