Enduring Monotony

Daniel and I were watching a movie at home, and it began with Metro Goldwyn Meyer's trademark roaring-lion.  Daniel said, "That's really boring," and I was afraid he didn't actually want to watch the movie we had selected, even though I had made sure he showed interest in it before choosing it.  So I asked him what was boring, and he clarified, "It's really boring to watch a lion roar."

Luckily, the boring footage passed within something like five seconds.
