After we got home last night, as Ian climbed the stairs, he announced, "It feels so good to get all of that stress out of the way!"

I imagined he must have meant that the cathartic energy-release that he, Daniel and Madeleine had at the play area in the mall did him some good, but, as usual, I checked, since often what they're thinking is even more interesting than what they say.

And it turns out that he meant he was enjoying the lack of stress that comes with Christmas vacation.  It hadn't occurred to me that a third-grader would associate school with "stress."
