Bistro Humor on the Playset
Yesterday, out playing in the yard, Daniel said that all the ground around the playset was shark-infested water, and I had to get up on the climbing structure to escape the sharks. I noted, as I climbed onto the structure, that the sharks were ready to eat me - that the water had become "Me Soup."
At that point, Ian improved on the idea: "Miso soup."
And then Daniel, clearly perfecting the dialectic, said, "Vietamese soup!"
"Vietamese" is Daniel's word for that which pertains to the country formerly thought of as Indochina. And Daniel loves "Vietamese soup - especially Pho with vermicelli noodles and chicken.
We have such a clever brood. Sophisticated in word-play and gastronomy, and ready for international punning on a moment's notice...
