Fine-Tuned Sensibilities

Ian and Daniel were watching Prince of Egypt, and Ian stepped into the kitchen during the scene when Miriam was leaving Moses in the bullrushes for his temporary transfer-of-formal-custody to the Egyptian princess, with a lugubrious Middle Eastern lullaby dominating the dramatic transition.  He explained to me one reason for his absence from the "screening":

Ian:  I don't want to see this part of the movie.

Me:  Why not?

Ian:  Whenever I do see it, it makes me cry.
