Disgruntled Future Day Camp Alumnus
About a week ago, Daniel and I were at the playground on the grounds of the school where Ian takes clarinet lessons (the music school shares the campus with a full-time Christian school), and I noticed that there were a few little stone benches that had been donated by a graduating class. I was impressed by that, and when Daniel asked me to what I was reacting, I told him, and I explained that when people graduate from a school that they really liked, sometimes they say "thank you" to the school by giving some money so that some nice little thing can be put in place for the ongoing students.
Daniel quickly had his own thoughts: Well he would not be doing that for his day camp.
Why not?
Because the counselors yell at the boys too much.
