Wedding and Honeymoon

Last night, we saw a firefly on the front lawn.  Daniel got excited, and mentioned that he had never seen a firefly before.  Had I seen one before?

Yes.

Should we go inside and tell Mommy, Ian and Madeleine to come out and look at the firefly?

No, that's okay.

I told him, based on reading I did in my own youth, that boy and girl fireflies use their light to find each other at night so that they can make babies.

Daniel instantly figured out the protocol:

"Oh - so they make babies right when they're getting married!"
