Guest Of Honor

Bowden is coming to our house tomorrow.

This is a great event. I think Bowden is Daniel's first "free-standing" friend - as opposed to those friends who come in packages, such as family members to the friends of Daniel's own family members. And the wonder of it is not lost on Daniel.

As Amy was telling me this evening that Bowden is coming over tomorrow, Daniel immediately asked me if I could stay home tomorrow. I told him I couldn't, but he put the magnitude of the event into perspective, warranting a call into the office:

"Can you call them and tell them that it's just a really special day?"
