An anthropologist would have a field day, literally, reviewing the artifacts in our habitat.

I'm a workaholic in a workaholic field (high tech), among other preoccupations, and I often go to sleep with a laptop on my chest, or by my side. Daniel is an Army Guy, surrounded by Army Guys. So when you put the two lenses together, you get the kind of picture that would have awaited the social scientist with the expensive photography equipment this morning, if U. C. Berkeley knew enough about us to conduct a study:

A laptop, shut down but open on a chest in the boys' bedroom (last night's layer), overlaid with this morning's contribution of an entire platoon of plastic "Army Guys" - light green, dark green, brownish-yellow - strewn across keyboard.
