Philistine Abuse of an Official Document

I grabbed a piece of "scrap paper" out of one of the recycling bags in the kitchen, to jot down Daniel's stirring words, but then he noticed what the paper actually was - in its former life - and objected to my using it for anything less solemn than its original purpose. Moreover, I couldn't write on this sheet of paper because, it turned out, it "belongs" to Daniel's school. The document in question is a bulletin from Daniel's Kindergarten classroom: "News From Room 14, January 20, 2012."

I should have thought twice before debasing the back page of such an essential piece of information.
