Always Okay

This morning, the boys and I were sledding out in the yard. With Madeleine in the house, I came inside to keep an eye on her, and Daniel came in and started snuggling with me very sweetly. I asked Madeleine to look out the window to make sure Ian was okay, and Daniel volunteered the following, without a trace of humor or irony:

"Yeah, Ian's always okay."
