We drove a long way, to rural New Hampshire, on Saturday, to be part of the Waldorf school's holiday festival, and both Amy and Daniel found something to enjoy in this unusual atmosphere: Amy loved the experience of being way out the country, and mentioned how beautiful it was.

Meanwhile, Daniel was a bit more focused on the much more concrete joys around him. As a car was pulling out of the parking area in front of the school, Daniel commented:

"I like that smell in the air - of stuff that cars use."

In other words, Daniel enjoyed the fragrant aroma of car exhaust. I was glad that the long drive was paying off so nicely.
