Twins Born Two Years Apart

Waiting, at the end of the driveway, for the school bus, Ian reflected:

"Daddy, I think we might almost be identical twins."

Of course, I had to find out who the twins actually were.

"Me and Daniel."

He went on to explain that they look alike. Several people have asked, over the years, whether they're twins, but considering that they're two years apart, and that their hair-types and eye colors are somewhat divergent, and that their personalities are, probably very consciously, pulling in different directions, I hadn't expected to hear Ian thinking along the same lines. But it was still moving that he had that thought. And, with all the time they spend together, and the interlacing of their identities, it almost makes sense.
