The Spirit of Giving, and with Great Precision

During yesterday's visit to a Christmas village, there was a concert upstairs and a gift shop and wrapping station downstairs. The church that sponsored the event made a point of pricing their merchandise dirt-cheap, so that children could get presents for their families.

I really wanted to hear the Haitian Community Choir's segment of the concert, but Ian had disappeared, so I stayed with Daniel and Madeleine while Amy went off to find Ian. She came back almost 20 minutes later, and explained that Ian had been in the present-wrapping station.

As a result of this trip, Ian ended up with a box of wrapped Christmas presents for each person in the family. Mine says "To: Daniel From: Ian" on the tag. Amy's says "To: Amy From: Ian." Daniel's present distinguishes that it is intended for Daniel J. R., which I take to mean "Daniel Junior."
