A Natural Appreciation for the Bottle

Our children are part-Irish. They play with wine bottles. Maybe that's because we don't drink whiskey or ale.

Full disclosure: I emptied the wine first. But Daniel saw a wine-bottle on the dining-room table, and recognized its spectacular potential as a toy. I emptied it of wine and he filled it with water, and asked me to put the cork back on. [Did I mention - quite truthfully - that my Irish ancestors came from County Cork?]

When Ian saw it, atavism kicked in with a vengeance: "Whoahhh! Daddy!! Can I have a bottle?"
