Reality Check in Overdrive

Daniel has his own sense of time. He'll often say things like, "We haven't gone to Chuck E. Cheese in a hundred years!" only to have Ian tell him, "Daniel, we haven't lived for 100 years!"

But last night, the tables were turned. Ian wanted me to tell a "Nice and Ferocious" story - a story that I make up, from a series of the same name, based on the adventures of two trucks, Nice and Ferocious, who learn all kinds of hard lessons because of Ferocious's tendency to repeat many of the driving offenses that I see on the road every day in my daily 73-mile commute. Ian particularly loves these stories, and sometimes tells me I could tell stories for a living, so he was trying to get me to tell one last night:

At one point, Ian stated, "We haven't heard a "Nice and Ferocious" story in almost five years." But Daniel quickly volunteered, "We haven't even lived for five years."
