Obsession, Diagnosed

Tonight, Daniel was telling me about a boy in his Kindergarten class named Jaxson [sic] who is "obsessed with Batman." This was the first time I had ever heard Daniel use the word "obsessed," and, I must say, he was quite the candidate to be invoking such a category... I was impressed, though, with the qualification that he added, after branding young Jaxson with this unflattering label:

"...And I, myself, am a bit obsessed with Batman."

He then went on to say that he had previously been obsessed with the Joker, but now he knows that the Joker's castle - a toy that Daniel owns - isn't as great as he had thought.
