Party Favors, and What They Mean for Daniel

At Daniel's birthday party, one of the main props was the compass, which the children used in one of their games, and also got to take home at the end of the party.

Daniel was looking over one of the compasses from his party, and asked an important question:

"What does 'S' stand for - North?"

Another prop/prize was the pirate's eye-patch. Each child got their own plastic sword to take home, and most plastic swords came with their own eye-patch, which was equally sturdy. Daniel quickly found that the string on the eye-patches would break very easily, but he attributed this fragility to the new physical strength which came with his attainment to the distinguished age of six:

"I think why I broke them was because it was my birthday, and I was turning bigger."
