Hail, Hail, the Gang is Almost Here...

Daniel was telling me about a rather enjoyable afternoon that he spent at the tire-shop with Mommy and Madeleine, watching Arthur (PBS, not Dudley Moore), having Mommy read him a s story, and pocketing the cheery, bright red coffee-stirrers. He probably doesn't know what they're intended for in the adult world, but in Daniel-Mundo, they're presents; I got one, Madeleine got one, and he has a small stash of others.

I said to him, "It sounds like you had a nice time," and he agreed, with a qualification:

"Yeah, except Ian wasn't there."
