Daniel asks me all kinds of questions about whether various colorful or implausible types of people, things or situations actually exist. Things he makes up out of his own colorful imagination, but usually things - conditions, circumstances - which have no reason *not* to exist.
For example, tonight he was admiring Ian's icon of his patron saint, Saint John the Baptist (or "Saint Ian the Baptist," as I sometimes call him to strengthen the identity - "Ian" is Scottish-Gaelic for "John"). This icon has a small, round case in the corner of it, containing something blessed - I don't know what, it looks like incense - probably something that was blessed in a holy place pertaining to Saint John the Baptist. That's literally all I know about it. The icon is something of an heirloom, and we don't know the precise history of what's in the little
