The Weight of The Years On His Back

The other day, in their typical rough-and-tumble frolic, the children were piled up on the floor, with Ian on the bottom, Daniel in the middle, and Madeleine on top.

Ian did a bit of age-math and remarked:

"I've got eight years on my back - just as big as me."
