Itsy-Bitsy Pets

Ian is very excited about having a pet spider. I try to remind him, from time to time, that creatures generally don't thrive in captivity unless they're pets.

The other day, in challenging my assumption, Ian very logically pointed out that if you could get your acquired pet to have babies, then those babies would be born in captivity, and they could therefore flourish in those confines...

Tonight, Ian excitedly announced: "Did you know that tarantulas prefer to eat in captivity?!!!"

So some creature are naturally designed to live in Ian's menagerie. I'm only sorry that we don't have a tarantula... yet.
