The Endless Possibilities on Planet Sandwich

Ian is currently cooking in the kitchen, making his gourmet specialty of Grilled Cheese. Of course, with our family food limitations, it's dairy-free cheese on gluten-free bread, but it is certainly a favorite around here.

About a minute or two ago, Daniel was throwing himself on a chair in the kitchen, out of exasperation with Ian for not making him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or such was his perception. However, Ian acquitted himself spectacularly. There were two pieces of bread on a plate in the kitchen, waiting for Daniel, and Ian explained that he could:

1. Put them together, and he'd have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (I'm not sure Daniel was convinced on this proposition.)

2. Eat them separately.

3. Just eat the jelly half if he doesn't want the peanut butter.

or

4. Just eat the jelly off the bread, leaving both pieces of bread and the peanut butter for someone else to eat.

The defense rests.
