The Boy Who Loved Rain
As I was putting the children in the car last night after dinner at a restaurant, Daniel hopped out of the car again, in the pouring rain, and seemed poised to spring off onto some wet adventure, when I stopped him in his tracks. I was intrigued by the holding pattern in which he froze, with a mischievous grin, oblivious to the rain, and I made a point of asking him later, in the car, what exactly he was up to.
An explanation was provided:
"Mostly, I liked it when I ran in the rain and it rained on my face, so I was gonna try doing that again."
Suddenly, it all made sense.
