One boy's tooth-wiggle is another man's neurosis
I know it's very squeamish and 40-something of me, but it kind-of gives me the chills when Ian wiggles his loose teeth while I'm brushing (other areas of) his teeth. He knows it's like fingernails on the chalkboard for me when he wiggles loose teeth - even while I'm not brushing them, but he doesn't understand why, and neither do I. Maybe it's because I know if my teeth started doing that, it would be an indication of advanced bone disease. Of course, I haven't tried to explain to him why the whole wiggling thing gives me the willies. But of course, it's very healthy and even fun, when you're seven years old. I think he just thinks my reaction is funny, which of course it is.
