Chefs in the House

When I came downstairs this morning, the boys were coordinating each other's requests for food and drink, and also Madeleine's - probably Ian taking care of the other two, and Daniel helping in little way. So Ian announced that people think he's a cook, and elaborated:

"Today I made two sandwiches - one for Daniel and one for me, and then Madeleine came along and I gave her a piece... and I gave her a piece of mine, and then she ended up with a piece of Daniel's too, and then Daniel got upset because he had lost about a half of his sandwich, and so I'm going to make him another one, but I'm going to split this one in half."

But Daniel summarized the situation rather more succinctly:

"Me and Ian are people who cook some stuff, and we give drinks to some people like Madeleine, and maybe you."
