Nine Out of Ten Dentists Say 'Don't Slide Down the Banister!"

On the banister at Mommy's office last night, Daniel did his standard "mounting" thing, symbolically poised to go cruising down the Grande Staircase - mostly to horrify Ian and me, and then, as icing on the cake, he asked whether it would be worse if he fell off the banister there than if he were to do so at home.

Ian provided an answer I couldn't have produced on my own:

"You have a better chance of falling, and if you did fall, you would probably break all your teeth - that would really hurt! You would not be able to eat again!"

When I told Amy about the commentary, she pointed out, quite correctly, that Ian is Daniel's Irish Mother.
