The Fallout of Hyperlistening

I was telling Ian a "real-life story," so to speak, at bedtime after lights-out, about a famous philantrhopist in Bangladesh, and in the middle of the account, he interjected:

"Wait a minute - I have been listening so well to you, that I haven't really been listening to some of the things that you have been saying."
