The Revolution Has Come and Gone

Ian was telling me about how the girls tend to chase boys around the recess yard, but the boys never return the favor. I told Ian that at his age, girls are very interested in boys, but it doesn't work the other way around, yet by the time he gets to about seventh grade, things will change dramatically. I also mentioned that when I was in seventh grade, I was suddenly very interested in girls.

It turned out, this phenomenon is quite passe for Ian:

"I'd say that experience happened to me in preschool; it's not happening now."
