The Enigma of Quality

During the paschal season, out of principle, I try to snag at least one chocolate bunny at a 75% discount from those bins toward the front of the grocery store. But I have a short memory. This year, I got a huge one, bow-tie and all, and I thought I had really gotten hold of something special, only to discover, once I started eating it, that it wasn't precisely chocolate, in the adult consumer's sense of the term; it's more one of those ricey-crunchy-lot-o-filler blends of chocolate and who-knows-what-else. It tastes (I haven't finished it yet) like Nestle's crunch, only not nearly as good, or as chocolaty. So I was pretty unhappy about the acquisition, but Ian, who had some of it, put the notion of "quality" into its proper, staggeringly subjective perspective:

"Daddy, this is some of the best chocolate I've ever had."
