Applied Numeracy

On our way to the Museum of Science the other day, Daniel decided to "count the signs," and Ian joined in and provided some consultation and guidance to the process, with his special skill of being able to count past 39. I couldn't imagine that it would last more than a minute or two, but I was wrong.

Because they started the counting only a few miles from the museum, they only reached the still-impressive figure of 249 signs, including every sign that we passed in the garage as I looked for a parking space.
